Chicken N Dice (Corey Callahan) drew the rail on Tuesday (2/20) at Dover Downs, W/OF2-W, $15000.  Parked to the half, Chicken N Dice drew ahead to take the lead as they reached the half in 56.1.  Leading at the three-quarter-pole, Chicken N Dice found himself challenged for the lead.  With a three-way battle down the stretch, Chicken N Dice was edged out, picking up a third place finish, pacing in 1:53.4.

 

At Miami Valley Raceway, Legal Liar (Luke Hanners) had the eight-hole in race fourteen, NW751L4, $6000.  Sprinting from the gate, Legal Liar was third at the quarter.  Sitting on the rail, Legal Liar maintained his position, racing fourth to the top of the stretch.  As horses fanned across the track, Legal Liar found some room to hit the board for third, pacing in 1:55.2.

 

On Wednesday (2/21) at Miami Valley Raceway, Johnny Freight (Kayne Kauffman) had the three-hole in race eleven, NW6PM-CL, $17000.  As the gate folded, Johnny Freight was looking for the pocket trip, sitting second as they reached the quarter.  Still second as the passed the half, Johnny Freight found himself covered on the outside.  On the rail third at the top of the lane, Johnny Freight fought back to capture second place, pacing in 1:53.1.

 

At Monticello Raceway, Knox The Fox (Michael Merton) drew the rail in race five, NW300PSL5, $3200.  Third at the quarter, Knox The Fox craftily tracked the leaders around the track.  Waiting until the stretch to make his move, Knox The Fox raced his last quarter in 29 flat to take the win in 1:57.4.

 

Sheznotkidncowboy (Kyle Dibenedetto) competed in race seven, WO1-3PMLT, $4600.  Getting away third from the five-hole, Sheznotkidncowboy sat in position the entire mile.  Unable to gain on the leaders, Sheznotkidncowboy hit the board for third, her mile in 2:01.4.

 

Thursday (2/22) at Hollywood Casino At The Meadows, Hankscoltfortyfive (Brady Jenson) had post-position five in race seven, FMW1NW3CLM, $7000.  With a brush at the start, Hankscoltfortyfive found himself parked second as they race to the quarter-pole.  Finding the rail, Hankscoltfortyfive sat in the pocket until the top of the lane.  With a last quarter in 28.4, Hankscoltfortyfive shot for the wire, picking up the win in 1:55 flat.

 

Over at Monticello Raceway, CR Dudley (Rick Harp) competed from the three-hole in race three, NW500PSL5, $4900.  Parked second at the quarter, CR Dudley dropped back into third as they race to the half.  Still third as they turned for home, CR Dudley made a move to the front for the win, pacing in 1:58.3.

 

Trump Train (Nick Roland) had the six-hole in the opener at Cal Expo on Friday (2/23), TMR<72, $4000.  Charging to the top, Trump Train had the lead at the quarter in 27.3.  Relinquishing the lead, Trump Train found himself shuffled back to fourth as they made their way to the top of the stretch.  With a hard-charging effort, Trump Train got up for third, pacing in 1:55.2.

 

In the next race P<55/Tnw3, TSS Hot House (Luke Plano) had the four-hole, going for $4800.  Sitting third until the last turn, TSS Hot House finished second, trotting in 1:59.3 for owner Brett Erickson.

 

Dance Traveler (Lemoyne Svendsen) drew the five-hole in race seven, NW1501-5, $4500.  Sixth at the quarter, Dance Traveler pulled to the outside behind cover.  Parked fifth at the half, Dance Traveler was still parked as they reached the three-quarter-pole.  Finding himself sixth as they looked for the wire, Dance Traveler made a sprint down the lane.  Winding up second by a length, Dance Traveler paced his mile in a wicked 1:54.3.

 

In race nine, Shirley Skip Shady (Luke Plano) had the rail, competing in TMR<72, $4000.  As the gate folded, Shirley Skip Shady cut the mile in 29.4, 1:00.0 and 1:28.4.  Up by over two lengths, Shirley Skip Shady skipped home for the win, pacing in 1:56.1, last quarter in 27.2.

 

Sunday’s (2/25) opener at Cal Expo, FMnw1501-4, $4500, Hunky Dory (Luke Plano) and What Cheer (Nick Roland) drew in against each other.  Hunky Dory left quicky from the five-hole to battle for the lead, parked first at the quarter.  Drifting back to second, Hunky Dory was content with the pocket trip, while What Cheer followed the field in sixth to the half.  As they raced past the three-quarters, Hunky Dory sat in position and What Cheer had pulled behind cover, sitting fourth on the outside.  As they rounded the final turn, Hunky Dory and What Cheer looked to finish well.  Both hit the board, Hunky Dory with a second place finish in 1:56.2 and What Cheer picked up third, in 1:56.3 for owners Royal Roland and Roger Roland.

 

Cal’s Hope (James Kennedy) had the two-hole in race three, TMR<67, $3500.  Racing fourth to the half, Cal’s Hope pulled to the outside.  Parked second as they passed the three-quarters, Cal’s Hope held on to position as they hit the stretch.  In a good effort, Cal’s Hope finished a length behind the leader, second in 1:57 flat.

 

Brooklyn Wind Up (Nick Roland) also drew post-position two in race ten, FMtmr<67, $3500.  Letting the front runners battle it out, Brooklyn Wind Up sat fifth as they raced around the track.  Reaching the lane, Brooklyn Wind Up charged toward the finish line, hitting the board for third in 1:56.3 for owners Christophen Manatt and Jennifer Heller.
