Graduate Report 3-4-24 to 3-10-24

At Monticello Raceway on Tuesday (3/5), Knox The Fox (Bruce Aldrich Jr) had the rail in race six, NW900PSL5, $6200.  Opting for the perfect trip, Knox The Fox snuck in behind the leader as the gate folded.  Sitting pretty around the track, Knox The Fox waited to try his luck until the stretch.  Fighting hard for the wire, Knox The Fox was barely beaten, finishing second in 1:58.4.

 

On Thursday, (3/7), Chicken N Dice (Corey Callahan) had the four-hole in the opener at Dover Downs, W/PF4, $13000.  Pushing the gate out of the way, Chicken N Dice quickly took the lead, pacing to the quarter in 28.2.  Relinquishing the front, Chicken N Dice sat on the back of the leader as they raced the mile.  With a last quarter effort in 27.2, Chicken N Dice was edged out of first, racing second in 1:53.3.

 

Over at Hollywood Casino At The Meadows, Juxta Millionare (Brady Brown) drew post position three in race seven, NW1EXTPM, $9000.  Sitting second until the top of the lane, Juxta Milllionare looked the leader in the eye and sprinted for home.  Up by less than a length, Juxta Millionare just took the win, pacing in 1:57 flat.

 

In race fourteen, Hankscoltfortyfive (Brady Jenson) looked for a repeat win, competing in W2NW4EXTPM, $11900.  Third from the three-hole, Hankscoltfortyfive sat on the rail until they passed the three-quarter pole.  With a brush to the front, Hankscoltfortyfive blasted home for the win, pacing in 1:52.4.

 

Friday (3/8) at Cal Expo, Hunky Dory (Luke Plano) had the rail in race two.  Not looking for a trip, Hunky Dory cut the mile in 29.2, 59.1 and 1:27.1.  Still up as they rounded the last turn, Hunky Dory put in a good effort to hold on to place as she paced her mile in 1:55.1.

 

In the next race, Fn2/eExtPM, $4000, Anitas Red Rebel (Justin Van Otterloo) had a break from the two -hole at the start.  Back on stride, Anitas Red Rebel sat at the back of the field until the three-quarters.  Gaining ground as they turned for home, Anitas Red Rebel flew toward the wire.  Pacing in 1:56.4, Anitas Red Rebel captured second place for owner Wilda McDanel.

 

Tss Hot House (Luke Plano) had the two -hole in race four, T/PInvite going for $6000.  Quickly taking command of the race, Tss Hot House cut the mile in 28.4, 59.4 and 1:28.1.  Up by three as they turned for home, Tss Hot House was declared victor in the photo, mile in 1:57.3 for owner Brett Erickson.

 

Mnemonic (Tyler Miller) competed in race three at Freehold Raceway, TMR68.50, $4000.  Taking the lead from the two-hole, Mnemonic set the pace in 30.1, 1:01.0 and 1:32.0.  Trotting for the finish line, Mnemonic hit the board for place, her mile in 2:02.4.

 

On Saturday (3/9), Ricky B Sharp (Michael Baumeister) had the three-hole in race five at Buffalo Raceway, NW6000L4, $10,400.  Getting away third at the start, Ricky B Sharp waited until past the half to move to the outside.  Parked at the three-quarters, Ricky B Sharp gained on the leader as they raced in tandem around the last turn.  With a last quarter in 29.3, Ricky B Sharp picked up a second place check, trotting his mile in 2:01.2.

 

Sunday (3/10) at Cal Expo, Check Marc (Nick Roland) competed in race two from the three-hole, 4yoTMO<70, $4500.  Sitting at the back of the field, Check Marc had plenty of room to make up as he raced sixth to the quarter.  Fifth at the half, Check Marc looked for cover as he pulled to the outside.  Parked fourth at the three-quarter-pole, Check Marc was continuing to gain ground.  Second at the top of the stretch, Check Marc fought to the finish line.  In the photo finish, Check Marc had a nose in front for the win, pacing in 1:56.1 for owner Roger Roland.
