First batter up at Dover Downs on Monday (11/13) was Batten First who competed in race six, NW2 for $8000.  Getting away third from the four-hole, Ross Wolfenden sat with Batten First until they hit the top of the lane.  Asking for more, Batten First trotted to the wire, finishing second by a length, his mile in 1:58.4.

 

Over at Hawthorne Racecourse, Bama Lou (Todd Warren) didn’t draw well in race six, NW1PM for $4200, having to leave from post-position eight.  Sent from the gate, Bama Lou rolled up on the outside, finding himself parked fifth at the quarter.  Finding room on the rail, Bama Lou raced in fourth as they approached the half-way mark.  Back parked in fifth as they past the three-quarters, Bama Lou was looking for racing room.  Second at the head of the stretch, Bama Lou battled to the finish line, picking up third place by a head, trotting his mile in 2:00 flat for owner Gary Liles.

 

In race nine, FMNW3001-4 for $6000, Fillister Photo (Travis Seekman) had the ten-hole.  Sixth at the quarter, Fillister Photo pulled, finding cover as they raced to the half.  Still parked fourth at the three-quarter pole, Fillister Photo started picking off the competition.  On top of the field as she rounded the final turn, Fillister Photo paced her last quarter in 27.3.  It didn’t take a photo finish to announce Fillister Photo as victor, winning in 1:53.4 by a length for owner Scorpio Stable.

 

Marced Mercedes (Joseph Chindano Jr) had the five-hole in the opener at Monitcello Raceway, NW200PSL5, $3000.  Drifting out of the gate, Marced Mercedes raced in fifth to the first quarter.  Pushed back to sixth as they passed the half, Marced Mercedes pulled to get with the flow, looking for racing room.  Working her way through traffic down the lane, Marced Mercedes succeeded to hit the board for show, pacing her mile in 2:00.0.

 

Tuesday (11/14) at Dover Downs, Billy Eyelash had the two-hole in race eight, NW1, $7000.  With the Bionic Man, Tim Tetrick, in the bike, Billy Eyelash dropped neatly in behind Georgy T (Russell Foster) to take the pocket trip.  Nose to helmet, Billy Eyelash stalked the leader as they paced around the track. Turning for home, Billy Eyelash set sights on the finish line.  As the wire drew closer, Billy Eyelash captured second in the photo, pacing his mile in 1:56.2.

 

In race seven, the third leg of “The Election Night Series” at Northfield Park, NW2PMLC, $12000, Major’s Song (Hunter Myers) looked to repeat last week’s victory.  As the gate folded, Major’s Song charged for the lead and did not look back.  Cutting the mile in 28.3, 59.0 and 1:28.0, it was all Major’s Song as they raced towards the line. Trotting in 1:57.2, Major’s Song declared the victory, holding off all challengers by over two lengths.

 

At Plainridge Park, race two featured FMNW1PMLT, going for $12500.  With the seven-hole, Two Star Magic (Jay Randall) let the front runners battle for the lead.  Sitting sixth at the quarter, Two Star Magic pulled, gaining cover, as they raced to the half.  Parked fourth at the three-quarters, Two Star Magic had to wait to find racing room.  Pacing down the stretch in 28.3, Two Star Magic appeared out of nowhere to gain second place, her mile in 1:55.4 for Roger Roland.

 

On Wednesday (11/15) at Hollywood Casino At The Meadows, Juxta Millionare (Tyler Stillings) had post-position four in race two, NW1EXTPM, $9000.  Racing third to the half, Juxta Millionare inched his way up to second as they passed the three-quarter mark.  With a last quarter of 29.0, Juxta Millionare just missed beating the leader, placing second in 1:54.4.

 

Prima Bella competed in race three, FMNW1EXTPM, $9000.  Hard charging from the eight-hole, Ronnie Wrenn Jr sent Prima Bella straight to the top. Cutting the mile in 29.1, 59.3 and 1:29.2, Prima Bella was looking for the wire.  Trotting to a third place finish, Prima Bella charted her mile in 1:59.4.

 

JB Velvet (Aaron Johnston) started for Aimes Racing in race two FMNW2PMLC, $12000 at Northfield Park.  Leaving from the six-hole, JB Velvet trotted into fifth at the quarter, content to follow the field.  Pulling with cover as they raced past the half, JB Velvet was fourth as they turned for home and full of trot.  With a last quarter in 29.2, JB Velvet grabbed second place, trotting her mile in 2:00.1.

 

On Thursday (11/16), Beat Cop (Tim Tetrick) competed in the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund Fina, race twelve,l for 2 year old colts and geldings, going for a purse of $110000.  In a dominant performance, Beat Cop crushed the competition, winning in 1:53.4 by open lengths, scoring a featured write-up on USTA.  See the full article here:  https://ustrottingnews.com/beat-cop-completes-sweep-wins-second-dsbf-title/

 

Luka (David Miller) drew the six-hole in race two at Harrah’s Philadelphia, NW1PMLT, $10800.  Trotting to top, Luka led the field around the track, setting the fractions in 28.3, 59.0 and 1:28.4.  With a last effort in 29.2, Luka secured the victory for Jim Reese, trotting in 1:58.1.

 

At Hollywood Casino At The Meadows, Gumbolaya (Jack Killeen) got the perfect trip in race eleven, NW2EXTPM, $10900.  Sitting second the whole mile, Gumbolaya paced for place, his mile in 1:55.1.

 

On Friday (11/17), Anita’s Red Rebel (Brett Erickson) had post-position three in the opener at Cal Expo, NW1/FM2, $4000.  As the gate folded, Anita’s Red Rebel managed to get away sixth.  Looking for cover as they passed the half, Anita’s Red Rebel found herself parked fourth at the three-quarters.  Back by three lengths at the top of the stretch, Anita’s Red Rebel raced towards the finish line.  Picking up a third place check, Anita’s Red Rebel paced her mile in 1:58.3 for owner Wilda McDanel.

 

Frewil Dakota Sven (Lemoyne Svendsen) had the seven-hole in race nine, NW4501-5, $6000.  Seventh at the quarter, parked in sixth to the three-quarters, Frewil Dakota Sven was waiting for traffic to clear as they rounded the last turn.  Pacing home in 28.4, Frewil Dakota Sven finished in third, pacing in 1:56.1.

 

Thinking about a win, Thinking Of A Card (Jason Ricco) competed in race three at Vernon Downs, FMNW1000CD, $4500.  Sprinting for the lead from the three-hole, Thinking Of A Card, quickly took control.  Setting the pace in 28.2, 58.3 and 1:27.0, Thinking Of A Card was up by a length.  Pacing for the wire in 29.4, Thinking Of A Card crossed the line for the win in 1:57 flat.

 

Saturday (11/18) in the opener at Batavia Downs, NW2500 L$, $7500, Sneak On Bye (David McNeight III) had the rail.  Going for a pocket trip, Sneak On Bye snuck into place behind the leader.  Stuck on the rail as Eddard Hanover (Austin Sorrie) challenged from the outside, Sneak On By had to wait until the lane to look for racing room.  Crossing the finish line second, Sneak On By paced his mile in 1:56.4.

 

Ricky B Sharp (Michael Baumeister) had the two-hole in the Open I Trot, going for $15000.  Getting away third, Ricky B Sharp sat in position until they turned for home.  Trotting his last quarter in 29 flat, Ricky B Sharp pinned down second place, his mile in 1:58.3.

 

At Hawthorne Racecourse, Legal Liar (Cordarius Stewart) had the five-hole in race four, NW1001-4, $3800.  Sent straight for the top as the gate folded, Legal Liar was parked first to the quarter.  Gaining the rail, Legal Liar led the field around the track, fractions in 29.0, 58.4 and 1:27.1.  Still up by a head as they raced for the line, Legal Liar was photo for second, pacing his mile in 1:54.3.

 

With a seven-hole draw, Beggintobefrisky (Kayne Kauffman) competed in race three at Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway, FMNW2-CL, $8500.  Eighth at the quarter, Beggintobefrisky was begging for cover as she pulled coming to the half.  Parked sixth as they raced past the three-quarter-pole, Beggintobefrisky waited for the stretch.  Passing horses as she raced to the finish, Beggintobefrisky hit the board for show, pacing in 1:56.2 for owners Jodi Siamis and Thomas Carey.

 

Over at Vernon Downs, Cyclone Maximus (Jason Ricco) had the seven-hole in race seven, NW1750CD, $5000.  Getting away fourth, Cyclone Maximus sat in position until they turned for home.  Gaining ground in the lane, Cyclone Maximus captured third place, trotting in 1:56.4.
