Monday (5/23) at Saratoga Harness, Sneaky Sunrizer (Leon Bailey) drew the two-hole in the opener at Saratoga Harness.  Getting the pocket trip, Sneaky Sunrizer was still second as they reached the top of the lane.  Pacing home in 1:58 flat, Sneaky Sunrizer hit the board for show.

 

Artspire (Nick Roland) and Frisky Pedro (Luke Plano) competed in the opener at Running Aces on Tuesday (5/24).  Frisky Pedro quickly left the gate from the four-hole to take command, as Artspire drifted into fifth.  As Frisky Pedro cut the mile in 28.2, 57.0 and 1:26.0, Artspire tried to make up ground on the outside, finding himself double-parked at the three-quarter pole.  Hitting another gear, Artspire sprinted for the wire, capturing the win in 1:55.1 and Frisky Pedro held on for third, his mile in 1:55.2.

 

In race three, Nick Roland was looking to keep his winning streak alive.  Sitting behind Giggle Monster, he drove out to sit third at the quarter-pole, with Watchmeneighneigh (Brady Jenson) racing fourth.  Looking for racing room, Giggle Monster pulled to the outside and worked his way up to being parked second as horses passed the three-quarter pole.  With a last quarter in 29 flat, Giggle Monster was declared the winner by a head, giving Roland his third win on the card.  Watchmeneighneigh was just a length behind, placing third in 1:55.1.

 

Marktentwentyseven (Brady Jenson) had a tough trip from the seven-hole in race four. Racing seventh until they turned for home, Marktentwentyseven paced a wicked last quarter in 27.4 to get up for third, his mile in 1:55 flat.

 

At Scioto Downs on Wednesday (5/25), Almost Karen (Tyler Smith) raced from post-position four in the second race.  Setting the pace, Almost Karen led the field around the track, fractions in 27.0, 57.0 and 1:24.2.  Second by a nose at the top of the stretch, Almost Karen stayed up for third place, her mile in 1:54.4.

 

On Thursday (5/26) at Harrah’s Philadelphia, SVF Cash Deposit (David Miller) drew the four-hole in race eleven.  Trotting out of the gate, SVF Cash Deposit raced fifth until they reached the stretch.  Asking for more trot, Miller and SVF Cash Deposit gained on the leaders to grab a third place check, trotting in 1:56.3.

 

In the Minnesota Sired 3-Year-Olds Pace, race five at Running Aces, Give Me This Dance (Dean Magee) competed for owners Alan and Cheryl Sandbulte while Kitty Wampus (Lemoyne Svendsen) took to the track for owner Van Otterloo Stables.  As the gate pulled away for the start, Kitty Wampus left out to race in second as Give Me This Dance tracked behind her in third.  Wanting the lead, Give Me This Dance took control before the half.  As they raced around the track, Give Me This Dance didn’t look back as she crossed the line for the win, pacing in 1:55.1, with Kitty Wampus finishing third, her mile in 1:55.4.

In race six, the Fillies & Mares Open Handicap, Shesureissomething (Rick Magee) drew the three-hole.  Getting away third, Shesureissomething held her position until she reached the half.  Pulled to the outside, Shesureissomething was parked second at the three-quarter-pole and continued to gain ground as they rounded the last turn.  Still full of pace, Shesureissomething charged to the finish line, winning in 1:54.1 for owners Alan and Cheryl Sandbulte.

 

CR Blazin Beauty (David McNeight III) had the four-hole in the Open Trot, race eight, at Buffalo Raceway on Friday (5/27).  Sitting third until the half, CR Blazin Beauty tipped to the outside, parked second at the three-quarters.  A length behind the leader, CR Blazin Beauty trotted up for second place, her mile in 1:57.3.

 

Over at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Fred And Roz (Jordan Ross) left like a rocket from the five-hole in race two, first quarter in 26.1.  Taking the field to the half in 54.4, Fred And Roz was still on top as they passed the three-quarters in 1:24.1.  Relinquishing the lead, Fred And Roz still gamely paced his last quarter in 27.2, for show money, his mile in 1:51.3.

 

Sunday (5/29)  Jenson stablemates, Twisted Bliss  and Marced In Faith, competed in race one.  As Twisted Bliss left from the five-hole, Brandon Jenson was parked second at the quarter-pole as he looked for the lead, with brother Brady and Marced In Faith getting away fifth from the eight-hole.  Gaining the lead, Twisted Bliss led the pacers around the track.  Crossing the line, Twisted Bliss managed to keep a nose in front for the win, pacing in 1:57.3.  Hitting the board for third, Marced In Faith was also charted in 1:57.3.

 

Ice Master (Elvin Zimmerman) competed from the three-hole in race two, Minnesota Sired 3-Year-Olds Trot Class B.  Getting a pocket trip, Ice Master trotted into second place for owners Aimes Racing, mile in 2:01.1.

 

In the Minnesota Sired 3-Year-Olds Trot Class A, race four, Scroll On By (Anthony Kerwood) had the rail and Vickie’s Vacation (Luke Plano) the six-hole.  As the race started, CR Promise To You (Brady Jenson) left on a mission for the lead from the eight-hole, with Vickie’s Vacation falling into place second and Scroll On By third.  Reaching the half, Scroll On By had decided to take over with Vickie’s Vacation right behind.  Holding off Poko Loki (James Lackey) on the outside, Scroll On By was looking for the wire as they reached the lane.  Trotting home in 28.4, Scroll On By took the win in 1:58.3 for owner Kennedy Roland with Vickie’s Vacation in second for owners Jeralene Roland and Vickie Rush.

 

Dance Traveler (Nick Roland) had the four-hole in race five.  From fifth at the quarter, Dance Traveler traveled up on the outside, behind cover.  Parked third at the three-quarters, Dance Traveler waited for racing room in the stretch.  Pacing a last quarter in 29.3, Dance Traveler captured the win, his mile in 1:55.4.

 

In race eight, RD Skippy (Brady Jenson) left hard from the gate to take the lead from post-position four.  As a parked Alway’s Close (Anthony Kerwood) took over the lead, RD Skippy sat on the rail.  With horses doubled up coming to the stretch, RD Skippy was still third, racing for the finish line.  Separated by a neck, RD Skippy held on for third, his mile in 1:55.1.
