At the Meadows on Tuesday (7/28), Always B Hanny (Dave Palone) had an unfortunate draw in race twelve, starting from the seven-hole.  Palone left the gate, only to be parked fifth to the quarter.  Managing to work her way up to the front, Always B Hanny lead the field around the track, only to be nipped at the wire.  Finishing third, Always B Hanny paced a brisk mile in 1:56.3.

 

In race thirteen, Bankn-On-Emily (Chris Shaw) left from the two hole.  Sitting sixth at the quarter, parked at the half, Bankn-On-Emily continued to work her way through the field.  Second at the top of the lane, Bankn-On-Emily trotted to the finish in 1:57.0, last quarter in 29.1, for the win.  Iowa graduate Al-mar Humdinger also put in a good effort to finish fourth with Brady Brown in the bike.

 

Over at The Downs At Mohegan Sun Pocono, CR Blazin Beauty (Matt Kakelay) also had a rough trip in race ten.  Getting away sixth, CR Blazin Beauty pulled to the outside, tracking the field.  Gaining ground with every stride, she moved up the pack, double parked at the three-quarter-pole.  Fifth, as she rounded the last turn, CR Blazin Beauty trotted her last quarter in 29.3 to pick up second place, beaten by only a head.

 

Marced In Faith was in at Running Aces, with post position four in race three.  As the race started Marced in Faith (Braxton Boyd) followed May Day Maggie (Rick Magee) out of the gate and around the track.  Getting the pocket trip, Marced in Faith placed second, for owners Jason and Sally Ludwig.

 

In race ten, Wx Dontworryboutit with Brady Jenson in the bike, toughed it out for a third-place finish.  Pacing a last quarter in 29.1, Wx Dontworryboutit’s mile went in 1:55.4.

 

On Wednesday (7/29) Jumping Jillybean (Jim Devaux) got a pocket trip in race three.  Staying on the rail, behind Onspeed N (Alek Chartrand) Jumping Jillybean hit the board for a second place finish, her mile paced in 1:56.2.

 

In the Filly and Mare Open at Yonkers Raceway on Thursday (7/30), George Brennan and Snobbytown took to the track.  Leaving from the rail, Snobbytown set the fractions in 27.1, 56.4 and 1:24.4.  As they turned for home, Snobbytown fought off challenger My Ruebe Star N (Jordan Stratton).  Beaten by a head, Snobbytown paced her mile in 1:52.2, last quarter in 27.3 for a second place finish.

 

At Running Aces on Sunday (8/2) Iowa horses filled the card.  In the opener, stablemates Al Mar Why Not (Rick Magee) and Storm In Motion (Tim Maier) drew in together.  Magee and Al Mar Why Not said “why not” and shot out for the lead.  With Storm In Motion sitting in his back, Magee urged his filly around the track.  Cutting the fractions in 29.3, 59.4, 1:30.2, Al Mar Why Not cruised home.  Returning victorious to the winner’s circle, Al May Why Not paced her mile in 2:00.1 for owner Bryce Jenson.  Storm In Motion placed second, her mile in 2:03.2 for owners Larry and Nancy Jenson.

 

Iowa trotters faired well in race three.  Lone Star Tap (Tim Maier) picked up a second-place finish for owner Nancy Jenson, trotting in 1:59.3, only beaten by a head.  Exhibition Day (Nick Roland) finished third for owner Dan and Jeralene Roland, trotting his mile in 2:01.1.

 

Race seven pacers saw Trump Train (Braxten Boyd) battle for control.  Still in the lead at the top of the stretch, Trump Train held on for second for owners Wolfswinkel Pacers Inc.  Dance Traveler was in a duel at the wire, finishing fourth in a dead heat, but placed third, dead heat with Roman Treasure (Jacob Cutting).

 

Wx Dontworryboutit had a rough mile in race eight.  Parked over half of the mile, Brady Jenson steered Wx Dontworryboutit up to second as they rounded the last turn.  Last quarter in 29.2, Wx Dontworryboutit scored a third place finish in a brisk 1:55.3.

 

Brady Jenson had the lines again in race nine with Nurse Nattie.  Settling into sixth from the four-hole, Jenson pulled to the outside past the quarter.  Working her way up the pack, Nurse Nattie paced home in 29.2 to place second for owner Larry Jenson.
