Monday (11/20) at Monticello, Marced Mercedes (Kyle Dibenedetto) had the three hole in the opener, NW300PSL5, $3200.  Getting away second to the quarter, Marced Mercedes found herself shuffled back to fourth as they raced past the three-quarters.  Looking for some racing room, Marced Mercedes stepped on the gas to finish second, her mile in 1:59.2.

 

Khaki’s Gal (Montrell Teague) drew post position five in race seven, FMNW2, $8500, at Dover Downs on Tuesday (11/21).  Taking charge from the start, Khaki’s Gal set the pace in 27.0, 57.2 and 1:27.0.  Still up at the top of the stretch, Khaki’s Gal tried to hold on as the field fought to take over.  Pacing in 1:59.1, Khaki’s Gal hit the board for show, just a length behind the leaders.

 

Chicken N Dice (Corey Callahan) had the four-hole in race fifteen, W/OF2-W, going for $15000.

Second at the quarter-pole, Chicken N Dice was not going to settle for a pocket trip.  Quickly taking over the lead, Chicken N Dice led the field to the three-quarters, with Astarwasborn (Tim Tetrick) on the outside.  As the two hit the lane, it was an epic battle to the wire.  Declared second in the photo by a head, Chicken N Dice paced his mile in 1:57.4.

 

Over to Monticello Raceway, Toatsmygoats (Mcgwire Sowers) and CR Dudley (Rick Harp) competed in race six, NW750PL5, $5900.  Toatsmygoats sat in the pocket with CR Dudley on the rail behind him as they raced the mile.  As they hit the stretch, Toatsmygoats found racing room to pick up the win in 1:57.1 with CR Dudley capturing second, his mile in 1:57.3.

 

JB Velvet (Aaron Johnston) had the three-hole in the Fillies & Mares “The Autumn Leaves” Series Final at Northfield Park, going for $25000.  As the gate folded, JB Velvet trotted out nicely, dropping into third at the quarter-pole.  Not wanting to be trapped on the rail, JB Velvet pulled just before the half.  Still parked at the three-quarter-pole, JB Velvet was eye to eye with the leader, Halekai Iii (Anthony MacDonald).  Racing in tandem to the wire, JB Velvet placed second, trotting her mile in 1:59.3 for Aimes Racing.

 

On Friday (11/24), Lulu Hoop (James Kennedy), Hunky Dory (Luke Plano) and Anita’s Red Rebel (Brett Erickson) competed in race two at Cal Expo, NW1/FM2, $4000.  Anita’s Red Rebel sprinted from the six-hole, battling Lulu Hoop for the lead as they raced to the quarter-pole.  Taking the rail, Anita’s Red Rebel led the field around the final turn.  In an all out dash for the cash, Iowa horses were looking for the wire.  In the order of finish, Lulu Hoop placed second, her mile in 2:01 flat, Hunky Dory picked up third for owner Penny Lundell, her mile in 2:01.1 and Anita’s Red Rebel held on for a fourth place check.

 

Tss Hot House (Brett Erickson) and Sparkplug Sparky (Lemoyne Svendsen) drew in against each other in race three, NW1Ext PM, $4400.  Sparkplug Sparky was electric at the start, getting away second at the quarter, while Tss Hot House settled into third.  Pulling the plug, Sparkplug Sparky was parked in first as they raced to the half-way mark. Gaining the lead, Sparkplug Sparky took the field to the stretch.  As the field fanned out, Tss Hot House found racing room to capture a third place finish for Brett Erickson, trotting in 2:03.3 while Sparkplug Sparky raced fourth.

 

At Freehold Raceway, Sheeznotkidncowboy had the seven-hole in race five, FMNW1PMCD, $4800.  With Tyler Miller in the bike, Sheeznotkidncowboy was not kidding as she pushed the gate out of the way to take the lead.  Cutting the mile in 29.2, 59.4 and 1:29.2, Sheeznotkidncowboy was still on top as they turned for home.  Pacing her last quarter in 31.2, Sheeznotkidncowboy rounded up the win, pacing in 2:00.4.

 

Battle King (Jeremy Indof) drew the rail in race three, CDCLMNNW7, $8500, at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.  Second at the quarter and holding position, Battle King was still on the rail third as they turned for home.  Finishing third, but with the second horse off stride at the line, Battle King was placed second, trotting his mile in 1:57.4.

 

Saturday (11/25) at Batavia Downs, My Money Honey (Kyle Cummings) had post position three in race four, NW4500L4, $10000.  Under a drive, My Money Honey made the top as they raced past the quarter-pole.  Setting the pace in 29.2, 59.0 and 1:27.4, My Money Honey looked strong as they hit the lane.  In the photo finish, My Money Honey held on for place, by a nose in 1:57 flat.

 

Dance Traveler (James Kennedy) had the five-hole in race seven, NW1000-5, $3500, at Cal Expo on Sunday (11/26).  Charging straight for the top, Dance Traveler led the field around the track.  Fractions in 28.0, 58.0 and 1:27.4, Dance Traveler was up by two lengths, racing for the wire.  Unable to hold off Sin Machqueen (Jacob Cutting) Dance Traveler waltzed into second, his mile in 1:57.3.

 

Over at Northfield Park, Beggintobefrisky (Billy Davis Jr) drew post-position five, in race five, FMNW1PMCD, $7500.  Not looking back, Beggintobefrisky quickly took the lead.  Cutting the mile in 28.4, 59.4 abd 1:29.0, Beggintobefrisky was in full command as she turned for home.  Last quarter in 30.0, Beggintobefrisky picked up the win, pacing in 1:59 flat.
