On Monday (11/6), Batten First (Ross Wolfenden) drew the five hole in race five at Dover Downs, NW 2, for a purse of $8500.  As the gate folded, Batten First found himself sitting sixth at the quarter pole.  Following the field, Batten First maintained his position as they passed the three-quarters.  Turning for home, Batten First stepped up to the plate to finish third, trotting in 1:59 flat.

 

Over to Hawthorne Racecourse, Fillister Photo competed in race eight for condition for FMNW3001-4, purse money $6000.  Driven by Wyatt Avenatti, Fillister Photo left like a rocket from the six-hole, leading at the quarter.  As Rona Mae (Brandon Bates) took over position, Fillister Photo drifted back to fourth.  Fourth at the three-quarter-pole, Fillister Photo looked for racing room.  Second at the top of the stretch, Fillister Photo held on to finish second, pacing in 1:56.1, last quarter in 29.1.

 

A pair of Iowa graduates finished one-two on Tuesday (11/7) at Dover Downs.  Khaki’s Gal (Montrell Teague) had the four-hole and Juneparker (Corey Callahan) drew the rail in race three for Fillies & Mares, NW1, with a purse of $7500.  Pushing the gate out of the way, Khaki’s Gal sprinted up for the lead.  Cutting the mile in 27.4, 57.4 and 1:26.4, Khaki’s Gal led the field to the top of the stretch, while Juneparker tracked from fourth.  Coming down the lane, Khaki’s Gal held off a hard-charging Juneparker to take the win, pacing in 1:56.2.  Juneparker hit the board for place, racing her mile in 1:57 flat.

 

Later in the card, Iowa power house Chicken N Dice (Corey Callahan) had the six-hole in race eight, NW2, going for $8500.  As the gate folded, Chicken N Dice paced out to drop in second behind Captain Solo (Pat Berry). Getting the perfect trip, Chicken N Dice waited until past the half to pull.  Parked second at the three-quarters, Chicken N Dice took over the lead as they turned for home.  It was all Chicken N Dice as he crossed the wire, pacing in a blistering 1:53.0.

 

At Monticello Raceway, Marced Mercedes (Kyle Dibenedetto) had the two-hole in race three, Fillies & Mares NW300PSL5, purse money $3200.  Getting away third, Marced Mercedes pulled as they raced to the half. Gaining ground, Marced Mercedes raced in second as they rounded the last turn.  Finishing second by a length, Marced Mercedes paced her mile in 2:00.1.

 

Competing in Northfield Park’s Election Night Series NW2PMLC going for $12000, Major’s Song had post position three, with Aaron Merriman getting the assignment.  When the gate folded, Major’s Song took the lead and didn’t look back.  Setting the pace in 28.3, 59.0 and 1:28.0, Major’s Song led the field to the top of the lane.  With a last quarter of 29.0,  Major’s Song sang the song of victory, capturing the win in 1:57.0.

Juxta Millionare (Jerry Kehm) had the three-hole in Wednesday’s (11/8) NW1EXTPM opener at Hollywood Casino At The Meadows, going for $9000.  Sprinting to sit in the pocket, Juxta Millionare pulled past the half to challenge Take It To Hardy (Brady Brown). Parked to the three-quarters, Justa Millionare battled for the lead.  Stride for stride down the lane, Juxta Millionare placed second by a neck, pacing in 1:56.1.

 

In race two, FMNW1EXTPM, purse $9000, Prima Bella (Aaron Merriman) drew the eight-hole.  Trotting with a mission out of the gate, Prima Bella took the lead as they raced to the first quarter.  Letting Edge Of Rejoicing (Brady Brown) take over, Prima Bella found herself pushed back to fourth as the past the three-quarter-pole.  Finding some racing room in the stretch, Prima Bella surged toward the wire, grabbing second place, her mile in 1:59.3.

 

Beat Cop with Tim Tetrick looked to beat the field again in race three, DSBF ELIM, this division going for $20000 on Thursday (11/9).  With a brush to the front, Beat Cop took command and led the field around the track, cutting the mile in 28.0, 57.2 and 1:26.2.  Up by four lengths as they turned for home, Beat Cop could not be beat, winning in 1:54.3.

 

At Freehold Raceway on Friday (11/10), Almost Karen (Eric Abbatiello) had post position three in the seventh race FMNW2500L5, purse $5000.  Getting away second, Almost Karen looked to get the perfect trip.  Second on the rail at the half, waiting patiently on the rail third as they race past the three-quarters, Almost Karen made her move as they paced towards the finish line.  With a last quarter in 28 flat, Almost Karen captured the victory by a head, pacing in 1:56.2.

 

Trans Meanie competed at The Meadowlands, race four FMTM<74Cd, going for $8500.  With Joseph Chindano Jr in the bike, Trans Meanie left the gate, sprinting for the lead.  Setting the pace in 28.0, 57.3 and 1:26.0, Trans Meanie held a length lead as they rounded the turn for home.  Pacing her last quarter in 28.4, Trans Meanie was declared winner by a head, the mile in 1:54.4.

 

At Northville Downs, Juxta Cowgirl (Art McIlmurray) had the rail in race nine, FMOPEN, purse $9500.  Pushing the gate out of her way, Juxta Cowgirl lassoed the front, taking the lead.  With blistering fractions in 27.4, 57.0 and 1:26.2, Juxta Cowgirl had her work cut out as she raced for the wire.  In a neck to neck battle with Artistic Cut (Jason Merriman), Juxta Cowgirl grabbed the photo finish as winner, pacing in 1:57 flat.

 

At Vernon Downs, Thinking Of A Card (Jason Ricco) drew the four-hole in race eleven, FMT<665CD, purse $4000.  Sent to the front, Thinking Of A Card, cut the mile in 27.1, 56.1 and 1:25.1.  Relinquishing the lead at the top of the lane, Thinking Of A Card held on for third, pacing her mile in 1:56.1.

 

Saturday (11/11) at Batavia Downs, My Money Honey (Kyle Cumings) had the rail in race two, NE3500L4, $9000.  As the gate folded, My Money Honey let Angelo J Fra (Jim Morrill Jr) take the lead, preferring the pocket trip.  Waiting until the stretch, My Money Honey found racing room, taking the lead to win by a length in 1:56.1.

RD Skippy also competed at Batavia in race twelve, NW6550L4, going for $11500.  Getting away second from the rail, RD Skippy sat in behind the leader as they raced around the track.  Still second as they turned toward the finish line, RD Skippy hit the board for show, pacing his mile in 1:54.3.

 

In race eight NW1001-4 at Hawthorne Racecourse, Legal Liar (Cordarius Stewart) had the five-hole, racing for $3800.  Getting away fourth to the quarter, Legal Liar found himself trapped on the rail in fifth as they raced past the three-quarters.  Finding room, Legal Liar charged down the lane in 26.2 to pick up second place, his mile in 1:55.3.

 

Over to Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway, Beggintobefrisky raced from the five-hole in race twelve, FMNW2-CL, $8500.  With Kayne Kauffman getting the driving assignment, Beggintobefrisky decided to let the front runners battle for the lead, as she raced from sixth to the three-quarters.  Following cover, Beggintobefrisky made the move on the outside, gaining ground to fourth as they raced the last turn.  Hard charging for the wire, Beggintobefrisky was beaten out of first by a neck, picking up a second place check for owners Jodi Siamis and Thomas Carey.

 

Bizys Beatle and David Miller looked to impress at The Meadowlands in the second race, NW3000L4CD, $9000.  Getting away fifth from the four-hole, Bizys Beatle waited until past the half to move with cover.  Parked fifth as he raced to the three-quarters, Bizys Beatle sped past the field to take over the lead.  In full command, Bizys Beatle captured the win, pacing in 1:50.3, last quarter in 28.3.

 

In the third race at Vernon Downs, NW1PMLTCD, $4500, Secretive Kate (Gregory Merton) made it no secret she was looking for a win.  As the gate folded, Secretive Kate charged up to take the lead from post-position four.  Cutting the mile in 28.3, 54.4 and 1:28.2, Secretive Kate was up on the field by over a length.  Stretching out her lead by two, Secretive Kate crossed the finish line as victor, trotting in 1:58.4.

 

Cyclone Maximus (Gregory Merton) drew the seven-hole in race ten, NW1750CD, $5000.  Sent out of the gate, Cyclone Maximus trotted to the top, reaching the quarter in 27.3.  Trotting to the half in 58.2, Cyclone Maximus was still strong as he passed the three-quarters in 1:28.1.  Drifting back to third as they crossed the wire, Cyclone Maximus was placed second due to a disqualification.

 

On Sunday (11/12), No Mo Fashion (Bruce Ranger) competed from the two-hole in race three, NW750L4, $4000.  Getting away second, No Mo Fashion sat on the rail as they raced to the half.  Maintaining the rail position, No Mo Fashion sat behind the leader, as horses raced up on the outside.  Unable to make up ground, No Mo Fashion held on, finishing third, trotting in 2:03.4.

 

Jumping Jillybean (Keith Kash Jr) had the nine-hole in race fifteen at Northfield Park, FMNW5000L4, $9500.  Getting away fifth, Jumping Jillybean inched her way forward, fourth at the half, and third as they rounded the last turn.  Pacing her last quarter in 29.4, Jumping Jillybean crossed the line in third, pacing her mile in 1:55.3.
