Jenson Stable on fire at The Meadows

Let’s start the week of December 14th at The Meadows.  Race two featured What Ya Thinkin, starting from post position two.  With Jim Pantaleano in the bike, What Ya Thinkin was thinking about taking the lead, as the gate folded.  Cutting the mile in 29.3, 1:00.1 and 1:29.3, What Ya Thinkin cruised down the stretch.  Last quarter in 29.4, What Ya Thinkin returned to the winner’s circle for owner Brady Jenson, mile in 1:59.2.

 

Oh Toodles (Dan Rawlings) competed in race four.  Having the disadvantage of the eight-hole, Oh Toodles managed to get away fourth.  With a brush to the front as they reached the three-quarters, Oh Toodles was still in front by a nose at the top of the lane.  Pacing his mile in 1:54.2, Oh Toodles hit the board for second place.

 

Lone Star Tap (Dave Palone) was next up in race five.  Under urging, Lone Star Tap left from the six-hole to take up the pocket behind Matter Of Focus (Dan Rawlings).  Tracking the leader, Lone Star Tap was there at the wire.  Beaten by a neck, Lone Star Tap held on for third, his mile in 1:58.3 for owner Brady Jenson.

 

Jenson Stable had another entry on Monday night.  Wx Dontworryboutit drew post position six in the race ten.  Leaving with purpose, Wx Dontworryboutit charged out to take the lead, parked to the quarter.  Setting the pace in 27.3, 57.3 and 1:27 flat, Wx Dontworryboutit wasn’t worried as she led the field to the wire.  Wx Dontworryboutit, with the win, pacing home in 1:57 flat.

 

Iowa grads hit the daily double on Tuesday (12/15) at The Meadows.  Staring off in race one, Lucy In The Sky got away sixth, from the six-hole.  Trainer/driver/owner Brady Jenson pulled at the half, following the field.  Making her way on the outside, Lucy In The Sky was third as she rounded the last turn.  Pacing a last quarter in 29.3, Lucy In The Sky charged for home.  Crossing the line in 1:57.0, Lucy In The Sky lit up the board, paying $52.60 to win, $17.40 to place and $9.60 for show.

 

Race two had four Iowa graduates into race.  Heavy Handed Hanna (Aaron Merriman) the rail, Glorynhonorforever (Jim Pantaleano) the four-hole, Supreme Dumpling (Tony Hall) the six-hole and Brianna’s Shadow (Brady Brown) the seven-hole.  As they left the gate, it was all Supreme Dumpling.  Parked to the quarter in 28.2, Supreme Dumpling cleared to the front with Glorynhonorforever sitting second.  Half in 58.3, three-quarter in 1:27.2, Supreme Dumpling held off Glorynhonorforever as they crossed the finish line.  Winning by a head, Supreme Dumpling paced her mile in 1:57.2 for owner Brady Jenson.  Glorynhonorforever placed second for owners Royal and Barbara Roland, her mile also in 1:57.2.

 

Inclement weather caused cancellation of races at several tracks on Wednesday (12/16) and Thursday (12/17).  At Harrah’s Philadelphia on Friday (12/18), it was all Itsonlymoneyhoney.  With a huge win in race four, Itsonlymoneyhoney (Andrew McCarthy) got a big write-up on the main page of USTA!!  Fourth at the quarter, Itsonlymoneyhoney pulled to challenge as they raced to the half.  Up a length at the three-quarters, Itsonlymoneyhoney found another gear to put away the field.  Pacing to victory in 1:55.4, picked up a new lifetime mark, making back to back wins.

 

Here Comes Teddy (Anthony Morgan) picked up a third place in race twelve.  Sitting third the entire mile, from the two-hole, Here Comes Teddy paced his mile in 1:54.0.

 

At Cal Expo, Dance Traveler (Doug Chappell) got away third from the two-hole in the opener.  Shuffled back to fourth as they paced to the half, Dance Traveler pulled and took over the lead at the top of the stretch.  Pacing home in 28.4, Dance Traveler captured the win in 1:56.2.

 

Lakota Law (Lemoyne Svendsen) and Brooklyn Moonshine (Luke Plano) duked it out in race two.  Cutting the mile in 28.4, 58.0, 1:26.4, Brooklyn Moonshine held on for the win over Lakota Law, her mile in 1:55.1.

 

Racing at Western Fair Raceway in Canada, Exhibition Day (Natasha Day) drew the four-hole.  Trotting fourth, parked over half of the mile, Exhibition Day made his way up to second as they reached the stretch.  Battling down the lane, Exhibition Day finished second by a neck, trotting his mile in 2:08.1.

 

On Saturday (12/19) at Cal Expo, Flash Me Baby (James Kennedy) drew post position four in race nine for trainer Nick Roland.  As the gate folded, Flash Me Baby settled into second.  With the perfect pocket trip, Flash Me Baby took over as she reached the top of the lane.  Last quarter in 28.1, Flash Me Baby flew home for the win, pacing in 1:56.2.

 

In race ten, it didn’t matter what post position Jennie Ann drew.  Charging from the eight-hole, Jennie Ann (James Kennedy) took no prisoners as she raced around the track.  Fractions in 28.2. 57.0. 1:26.0, Jennie Ann didn’t look back as she crossed the wire.  Winning by a head in 1:55.4, Jennie Ann made her way to the winner’s circle for owner Rob Anderson.

 

Marced Magic (James Kennedy) had a rough trip, getting away eight from the six-hole.  Parked eight most of the mile, Marced Magic finished third, his last quarter in 27.4.
